Materials for Making Traffic Signs - Reflective Sheeting, Posts, and Aluminum

Starting off with the traffic sign posts, learn what they are made of. The thing is that it usually depends on the jurisdiction of the local area, state, or county.

If you are going to place your sign along the interstate highway, you will have to consult or follow the rules specified by the US Department of Transportation. They are assigned on the regulation of signs in such area.

In other jurisdictions, woods are allowed as a material for posts. However, this material is not often used for the big highways and directional signagge compared to the previous years. Often these traffic sign posts, big or small, are crafted with steel frames welded together.
